Totally Chipotle Day?

Totally Chipotle Day?

Happy Cinco de Mayo! It also popped up on our calendar today that today is "Totally Chipotle Day" - What is that you say? We have no idea either.

We're going to take it as a day to celebrate one of our faves in the fast-casual restaurant world - So cheers to you Chipotle!

If you haven't been out of your house in a decade or so, Chipotle is a popular Mexican restaurant chain that offers a variety of deliciousness. Whether you're in the mood for a burrito, bowl, or tacos, Chipotle has a little something for everyone. But did you know that you can also enjoy your favorite Chipotle dish with a glass of wine?

That's right, wine and Mexican food are a surprisingly good match. The acidity in the wine helps to cut through the richness of the food, while the flavors of the wine complement the spices and herbs used in Mexican cuisine.

Pair Chipotle with wine like a pro:

  • Carne Asada Burrito: A medium-bodied red wine, such as a Cabernet Sauvignon or Zinfandel, pairs well with a burrito. The tannins in the wine help to cut through the richness of the meat and beans, while the fruit flavors complement the salsa and guacamole.
  • Grilled Chicken Bowl: A light-bodied white wine, such as a Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio, pairs well with a bowl. The acidity in the wine helps to cut through the richness of the rice and beans, while the fruit flavors complement the salsa and guacamole.
  • Any Taco (because Tacos are for celebrating): A sparkling wine, such as a Prosecco or Cava, pairs well with tacos. The bubbles in the wine help to cleanse the palate between bites, while the fruit flavors complement the flavors of the taco fillings.

Of course, our standard advice prevails - eat what you like, drink what you like. Mix it up, have some fun, live a little, and totally get some Chipotle today!

Cheers!
